The weeks keep flying by (14). This week I came across a lady (also a twin Mum) who does what she calls The Peak and Pit Collective (the highs and lows) accepting that each week is not all peaks or pits!
And so, introducing….. The Twin Peaks ๐ถ๐ผ๐ถ๐ผ this week!
Peak โฐโฐ: Henry rolled over! ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐บ๐ฝ(and then refused to do it for the video ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐). Feel as proud as punch of him. Itโs funny how proud you feel over such a โsmall thingโ in the whole scheme of things, in a few weeks or months itโll be like โyay, he rolled, big dealโ (said in a bored voice), I mean compared to brain surgery or being a rocket scientist it is pretty mundane, but for us right now โYAY, HE ROLLED OVER, BIG DEALโ ๐๐๐๐๐ Both of them are SUPER smiley and giggly which is great, they are kept entertained by inanimate objects for good stretches of time now which we are going to make the most of until the toys need to get a bit bigger, noisier and brighter. Who knew curtains could be so captivating! And often you can see giggles building up inside that are released with a squeal and kicking of legs and waving of arms.
Pit ๐: injections ๐ Injections on Monday meant a couple of nights of worse sleep. The peak of the pit is that a bad nights sleep now is still better than a good nights sleep a few weeks ago. But when you get used to getting that oh so sweet nearly 8 hours (in chunks) itโs tough going back to less. Thankfully it only lasted a few nights and we were back to one middle of the night feed for me and an early morning one for John, so all in all not too bad!
Overall: they say the hours are long and the days are short, itโs true. Night hours and crying hours are LONG, and good days go in a flash. Before you know it theyโre rolling, walking, driving and and leaving home, off on their own (maybe not just yet ๐).
PS – George also gave a little roll after bathtime tonight, witnessed only by his Dad and sadly not repeated! But we are rolling into this next week tired and smiley
